Windover Works!
Two Enterprise programs give students hands-on work experience as well as an opportunity to earn incentives. In a real-world setting, students learn responsibility, team work, problem-solving, and goal-setting, and put these skills to work in one of two on-site work areas.

Culinary Arts Program
  

In a commercial kitchen, students learn the skills needed to succeed in jobs related to the culinary arts. Class duties and skills include:

  • Preparing and serving nearly 150 meals daily
  • Applied learning in bake shop, cake decorating, catering, and hot and cold food preparation
  • Food service management applications such as computerized inventory control,
    portion and price controls, and menu preparation
  • Safety and sanitation techniques and practices


Graphic Design/Screen Printing Program

In our print shop students explore their own creativity as they develop specific job skills. While completing real projects for real customers, students learn and use such skills as airbrushing, silk screening, vinyl graphics, custom sign making, and computer graphics skills. They also practice the time management and customer service skills needed to succeed in a client-oriented work environment.
